Make sure to carefully read through our FAQ before proceeding to book!
It is four blocks east of downtown Blacksburg.
The date they are reserved are listed on this website calendar. The apartment is open, unless it is reserved (The apartment is NOT available to rent during game or graduation weekends). The whole house has some times that are marked reserved, and some that are "open for reservations".
We have an Airbnb profile (for the whole house), but we prefer to use Lodgify as it saves both us, and renters, money.
Both the apartment and the whole house are minimum two-night stay. Graduations (whole house) are minimum three-night stays.
On weekdays (Sunday through Thursday) it is $150 per night for one bedroom, and $225/night (total) for two bedrooms. On weekends (Friday and Saturday night), it is $200 per night for one bedroom, and $300 (total) for two bedrooms. The second bedroom is a bunk room that sleeps 5 people (three twins and one queen). There are no additional taxes, or fees (including no cleaning fee).
The price for the whole house is based upon when you want to reserve it. Game weekends and graduation pricing is listed on the calendar. For non-game weekends, the price for the whole house is $2,000 per night.
We accept payment through the payments tab on the website. We ask for 1/2 down payment, and the other ½ 48 hours before you arrive.
Both the initial and second deposit are non-refundable. Why? We may have to turn down another guest (or several!) when we accept your booking. We would lose money if we could not find a renter for the date we had previously booked.
We do not allow pets.
The hot tub is in our backyard, which is shared space (when you rent the apartment). When you rent the whole house, you get the hot tub all to yourself! So if you want to use the hot tub when renting the apartment, we simply ask that you text us and we will know to stay out of that area.
Both bathrooms are in hallways, so easily accessible! We have a 100 gallon water heater so there’s plenty of hot water! We have had several large groups and though it requires some orchestration (guys at night, ladies in the morning type of thing), we have excellent reviews from such groups that it was not a problem.
Yes. There is on-street parking in front of our house, all the way down the street (our side of the street). We also can fit at least four cars in our driveway.
We are available 24/7 by cell phone or text during your stay. We provide that information once we receive the deposit.
Once we receive your deposit, we will send a sheet with specific instructions (door codes, etc), and have a hardcopy of those instructions printed off as well.
We do not rent the whole house any longer than one week, or the apartment beyond two weeks.
In the upstairs kitchen (when renting the whole house), there is everything you’d expect in a family kitchen. When renting the apartment, there is a kitchenette with basics including fridge, microwave, hot pad, pans for cooking, coffee maker, teas, plates, bowls, cups, utensils, and so forth. There's not everything, but there are the basics!
